Artistic Statement of Intent

My artistic work lies at the intersection of landscape photography, architecture, and digital art. I work from real-life scenes, such as coastlines, mountains, historic streets, and everyday spaces, which offer me the opportunity to explore how light, colour, and texture can reveal the subtle essence of a place. I am interested in capturing not only what is visible but also what is perceived: the atmosphere, memory, and feeling that linger in each space.

My process begins with a careful and conscious observation of the surroundings. Photography serves as a documentary foundation; however, I subsequently manipulate the image using digital tools to enhance the visual presence of those elements I consider fundamental. I do not intend to alter reality but rather to interpret it in a more poetic, immersive, and enduring way. This combination of photographic precision and artistic sensibility allows me to create images that balance fidelity with evocation.

From a visual perspective, I consider spaces where nature and human intervention coexist in harmony particularly interesting. This includes cliffs, paths, facades, alleyways, bridges, and buildings that bear the marks of time. In these settings, a serene, restrained beauty, imbued with a profound emotional character, reveals itself. My work aims to invite the viewer to observe more closely, to rediscover the everyday, and to re-establish a connection with the experience of the environment.

I consider these pieces to be contemporary works designed both for individual contemplation and for the ornamentation of interior spaces. I am interested in creating images that provide calm, depth, and a refined visual presence, capable of transforming a space without dominating it. Essentially, my work aims to establish a connection between photographic observation and artistic interpretation, as well as between the materiality of the landscape and the immateriality of its atmosphere.
